Meeting
The regular meeting of the Ovid Town Board was called to order at
The minutes of the
Highway Superintendent Jack Wickham’s highway report was presented to the Board.
Discussion was had regarding Transfer Station tags.
With a motion by Councilman Wilkins, a
second by Councilman Beardsley, and approval by all the Board directed that all
Transfer Station tags be destroyed by the Transfer Station operator.
The Town Clerk’s Report and moneys collected for February were accepted into the
record. As Land Use Officer, the Town Clerk reported on activity with land use
permits within the town.
Board Members received a copy of the Bookkeeper’s report. Her annual state
reports were presented for certification by the Board.
Supervisor Prouty presented a report from his office.
Bids were opened for the sale of a surplus dump truck as follows: Jim Fuller
$5699.99, Kyle Cornish $2552, Jim Vanopdorp $2027.51, Walter Wech $2300, Larry
Kirkland $2000, Greg Cool $5530, John King $4161, James Peterson $3252, Neal
Stillion $5200 and Ted Totman $4253. With a motion by Councilman Hubbard, a
second by Councilman Borst, and approval by al the Board accepted the highest
bid of $5699.99 from Jim Fuller.
The Board opened letters of interest from two residents interested in joining
the Planning Board. With a motion by Councilman Hubbard, a second by Councilman
Beardsley, and approval by all the Board appointed Paul Engineri to fill the
remainder of Holly Bailey’s term and Don Gordy to fill the unexpired term of
Denny Kenyon.
Councilman Hubbard read into the record (see attached) his proposed changes in
the Town of
With a motion by Councilman Wilkins, a second by Councilman Borst, and approval
by all the Board requested the Town Clerk advertise for bids regarding the
mowing of the
Judge Ewing presented his report for 2010 for the Boards approval.
With a motion by Councilman Beardsley, a second by Councilman Wilkins,
and approval by all Resolution 8-2011, Certifying Examination of the Court
Records, was approved.
Following the Audit of the bills, Vouchers #69-107, were approved for payment
with a motion by Councilman Wilkins, a second by Councilman Borst, and approval
by all, for Abstract #3 for $39,562.83
